More Cute Critters

Over the past couple weeks my work has kept me really busy. Unfortunately, this has caused me to neglect quite a few things recently (like blogging). Hopefully things will be back to normal soon and I will be more consistent with my post . However, I'm not going to complain. Considering today's economic mess, I do consider myself blessed to have a good job that keeps me busy.

Okay, with that out of the way I wanted to share some more photos that I took at my parents house a couple weekends back. These photos are from the same weekend that my daughter got her new pet bunny, "Hopper".

Baby rabbits weren't the only baby animals present on my parents farm...

Yes, baby pot belly piglets. I think that baby pigs rank at the top of the cuteness scale. Don't you agree?

...and yes, my daughter did ask to take one of these cute little piglets home. Unfortunately I had to turn her down. I know what my limitations are when it comes to bringing pets home. Regardless of her brief disappointment we enjoyed playing with the little piglets and mommy pig (aka "Miss Piggy") didn't seem to mind.

Ahh, those baby piglets are so cute how can you possibly resist bringing one home? When I was growing up,I used to help the hog farmer down the road, and the baby pigs were so much fun to watch and play with. I also asked to keep one, but my mother did not let me.
Your children are so lucky to have granparents with a farm. They can experience all of the farm life without taking it home.

All the critters are very cute. I am afraid that if we had a cute little piglet around the house, it might change my relationship with pork, and I am not ready to take that off the menu.

I'm in agreement with Vicki and Les. It's great your daughter gets to see these creatures at her grandparents farm. I've heard that pot bellied pigs make great pets but we don't need any around here!

Squee, piglets. They are adorable - as are the bunny and your daughter :)

I've never seen such a cute little piggie! I bet it was hard to get your daughter to leave those adorable little guys!

I have, all my life, wanted a pet pig (and a goat, too) but have never lived anywhere that that would be possible (they frown on goats and chickens and such here at the beach...I don't get it, but there it is!)

Those are THE cutest little fellas...thanks so much for sharin' 'em, and have a wonderful weekend ahead with that adorable daughter of yours!

We had a family in Seaford that had a potbellied pig. His name was Porkchop. Kind of lost touch with them, not sure what ever happened to Porkchop. He was an indoor pig! The piglets are cute...but they do grow up. Alan- did you see the baby owl picture I had on my site? Thought you'd like it. http://thequeenofseaford.blogspot.com/2009/03/what-are-you-looking-at.html

Those piglets are very cute, but they can't match your daughter. How lucky she is to be able to visit a farm!!

These are all so cute. Love pics of baby animals---it's just so "Spring-y."

Hi Alan,
That has got to be the cutest bunny I've ever seen!
Spring and critter babies - hand in hand cuteness!
Your daughter is a sweet cutie as well.
I lived in your area - Suffolk then Chesapeake - for over 30 years. Retired in 07 and moved back to my home state of WV.
I'll have to come back and visit around around your blog a little more.
My post is on my photoblog: Carletta’s Captures.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you about the baby pigs being at the top of the cuteness scale, because, in my opinion, that beautiful and adorable daughter of yours takes that prize! What a doll she is!

I find myself complaining about too much work too, but that's because I work four jobs. I know I should be grateful, but I'm thinking I'd be just as grateful, if I only had three jobs ;-)

I think piglets would come right behind baby bunnies:)

Very cute daughter! I think the bunny is a better choice but I understand pigs are very smart. ;-)

Oh, hopper is adorable (as is your daughter)
Those baby pigs are too! I agree that baby pigs rank at the top of cuteness!

ADORABLE! Hopper and the piglets are just precious. What a wonderful CC post!

I had a potbelly pig growing up. Very cool house pet. Smart little bugger. He loved to sleep in my bed, under the covers. Very clean and cute.

Hi Alan, Cute baby pigs!!!!! And that little Easter bunny is precious. BUT--the most precious of all is your beautiful, curly-headed daughter!!!!

Have a great day!

Aaawww, baby pigs are soooo cute (we have a potbelly pig and an allsortsofeverything pig, but they are of the male variety, so no baby pigs here). Adorable post ;-)

Those are the cutest, Alan. I've only seen the pink ones and these Blackies are ultra cute and needless to say your Hopper and your daughter too.

Thanks for the giggles and smiles. Yes, you're right! I think pot-bellied piglets are ranked first in cuteness. My daughter, who is almost 27, still talks about owning a piglet. I still laugh, too.

Your bunny is a very pretty color - I have, at times, paid good money for that color ;)

Those little piglets are indeed gorgeous. How could you ever resist that beautiful child's pleadings? :-)
