Hopper is a 5 week old lionhead rabbit. Lionhead rabbits are a fairly new, but popular breed of domesticated rabbits. They get their name from the long hair surrounding the face, similar to the mane of a male lion. They are also small in size and have shorter ears compared to most breeds.
As you can see, my daughter is thrilled with her new pet!
This is actually our second rabbit; Thumper being our first one.
One good thing that rabbits supply is nitrogen-rich manure which I constantly use in the garden. Unlike some other manures, rabbit manure wont burn plants if added directly to the garden. So, as you can see, some pets do have extra benefits.

My neighbor has the same kind of bunny and it's such a sweet little thing! by the way - your daughter is adorable - I can tell she loves that bunny already!
I adore bunnies and have had several myself. Even had one litter box trained, they like to chew on the wood in the house so I had to re-think that one. What an adorable little girl you have!!
The rabbit is adorable...but the showstopper is the little curly-haired doll--she resembles Shirley Temple;-)
My daughter had a bunny--but a BIG bunny. We bought it under the belief it was going to be small. Hmm. But, she took good care of it and cleaned out the cage, etc...until one day, she lost interest. So, since I wasn't a bunny addict wanting to take on the chore, we adopted the bunny out, to a family who wanted him.
What fun to have a baby bunny. They are sweet. Hope your daughter has many many hours of enjoyment with Hopper.
Very cute, both of them! Definitely a good manure for the compost. Do you keep the rabbit indoors or out?
Cuddly and useful poop! That's a great combination. Your Hopper looks so sweet, Alan.
They are both so cute!
There should be a regulation about posting two creatures so cute in the same picture.
Your daughter is in love, and she is so sweet looking.

I'm not know to be sappy, but this is a very cute combination...cute little girl + cute little bunny! Cute, cute, cute...please don't tell my tomcat friends that I have been using the word "CUTE"!!!
How precious! :)
What a cute bunny :) Does Thumper get along with him?
Gorgeous bunny! I've never seen a short-eared rabbit before.
I played too :)
Aw, she looks like she really LOVES her Hopper! :D

These pictures are too precious how well the two go together thanks Sandy
Adorable pictures. You little girl looks so happy. These shots are very framable. Thanks for the info on your special rabbit. I had them as pets when I was a little girl and those wonderful memories of that part of my childhood are still there.
Sweet bunny and beautiful little girl. I saw my first lion head at the livestock show last week and have a picture of one up, too!
Not sure who is cuter...your daughter or the bunny. Both are just adorable. Love the smile on your daughter's face and that curly hair!
What an adorable little girl you have! And the bunny is sweet too. I'll be interested to hear more about your experience having a rabbit for a pet. We narrowly made it home from the county fair without one last summer, and I don't think I'm going to be as lucky this year (unless I creatively avoid the small animals barn.) The kids are relentless about wanting one. :)
Both your daughter and Hopper are adorable. Thumper is a very handsome bunny too.
What a sweet pair they make!
Really sweet images I'm sure Hopper will be much loved.
Hopper is adorable. As is your daughter.
Both are cute!!
I always wanted a bunny growing up. I have an excuse now - great for the garden also ;)
Both baby bunny and your daughter are so cute.
How cute is that!!
ok, I don't know which is cuter, your bunny or your daughter! (we have rabbits for the manure too:)
