Here are a few pictures that I took on Monday (12/1/08). The first picture is of the moon in very close proximity to the two brightest planets in our sky, Venus and Jupiter. Click here to read more.
...there was a cold front coming through the area as well. It made for some nice cloud formations and contrasting colors.

this is truly beautiful! Have an enjoyable weekend! Hope you get time to visit mine too.
That peachy edge to the sky sure gives me the feeling of autumn. Love the planets. I've been watching them here in AZ.
I completely forgot to go out and look at the moon and planets. I'm so glad you didn't!
I especially like that last photo with the clouds and trees.
Beautiful shots! Mine came out a bit darker since I missed the sunset. Great capture!

Some dramatic skies you have. Happy weekend.
Great, great photos. I wonder what else we might see if we looked up at the sky more often.
beautiful photos. thanks for sharing.
Hey Alan, very nice capture of the moon and planets. I really like the last one also with the orange and gray and black. I will have to come back to visit when I have more time to see your birds!
is there anyone besides me that didn't get to photograph this incredible event?
Thank you for sharing the picture of this celestial event. We were overcast on the west coast so I missed it live. I invite you to come see the skies over Powell Lake in British Columbia. -- Margy
Great shots..I was able to get out that same night and enjoy that special alignment..

Great skies Alan.
Wow, you captured some beautiful photos there. Thanks for sharing them.
Nice series of a beautiful sky. Thanks for sharing on SWF.
Terrific clouds! Nice capture of the moon, too. And the reptile while birding? No thank you. But it might be exciting, I guess!
We had a similar view between rain storms here in Western Washington State last week.
Happy Holidays.....
