This week I chose the pine warbler for my bird photography weekly pic.
Pine warbles are a frequent visitors to my feeders, especially during the winter months. They're the only warbler that eats mostly seed - as this one below is about to do.
Keep a lookout for pine warblers at your feeders.

I've seen these in my childhood that too in countryside, but I forgot all about Warblers or even how they look. Thanks for the great pic and reminding of them.
Nice! I've never seen a pine warbler before. I wonder if they are in the TN area.
Great photos - tack sharp and nice color. Are these from the Wingscapes BirdCam, and mounted in a different spot from the earlier pics or were just in the right place at the right time?
A seed eating warbler, I didn't know that. Great pictures!
Great pics of the warblers. I'll keep an eye out, but I would be very surprised if one showed up at my feeder out here in UT.
Nice and sharp pics. never seen one before.
Nice photos...I can see in the second photo the warbler is ready to grab that seed.
Nice detailed and focused photos Alan. It would be a wonderful bird to have at the feeder. Unfortunately, we never get warblers at our feeders.
Warblers in January? Not in Wisconsin and not at the feeders even in summer! Lucky you!
Nice shots and a beautiful little bird.
The Pine Warbler is a pretty bird. Am wondering what color it is during the summer. To the reference books I go, yet again.

It is soooo nice to see warblers in winter. Stuck up here in the snow and ice, warblers are but a faded dream.
Dave,
according to the map Cornell map it looks like they are summer visitors to your area. The map is a little hard to read. Here's the link- http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Pine_Warbler_dtl.html#map
Christopher,
Yes, these are from the Wingscapes camera. I've been very pleased with it. I move it in different locations around the yard every few days. The pine warbles have been hanging around lately and I was hoping to capture one with the cam & I did...
Hi Leedra,
I think they have similar colors in the summer as they do in the winter. I'll double check that...
Thanks for following!
Very nice photos, Alan. Now that's one warbler I won't see here in California. And to think you get it to visit your yard. I'm envious. Thanks for sharing.
I share the sentiments of Mary C. We'd be so lucky to find one here in California, much less come to our yard. Great photo, too!
Great photo of a lovely little bird.
Very beautiful bird. Nice photo. :)))
I really enjoy the photos on your blog. I'm sort of a backyard birdwatcher.
PS thanks for visiting my blog
Well, we don't get them in CA, but I am on the lookout for warblers. So far I haven't seen any kind in our backyard. I did see a Yellow-rumped Warbler at work though.
Great pics :) Thanks for sharing.
Nice photos of the warblers..I haven't been able to add any of them to my life list yet..
I love Pine Warblers -- the dreamy trill they sing is lovely. I don't get a very good look at one very often though. Nice pictures!
Alan, beautiful capture of the Pine Warbler. So many warblers, so little time. Thanks for sharing.
